About the Residency
Loc Artistry by AV is a holistic loc salon with two locations in the Hudson Valley, NY. For a limited time, Amoy brings her signature precision and holistic approach to Playa del Carmen, Mexico — offering new installs, maintenance, and styling
for all stages of your loc journey. Every service is performed using her curated line of all-natural products, centered on the health of your hair, scalp, and total well-being.
The residency location will be provided to confirmed clients one month prior to the first appointment date. Slots are
limited and by consultation only.
Meet Amoy
Amoy is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience across critical care, forensics, and healthcare leadership. In 2021, she founded Loc Artistry by AV with a vision to establish a holistic loc salon rooted in a total person approach — where the health of your hair, scalp, and overall well-being are at the center of every service. With over 5 years dedicated to the art of loc care and her own curated line of all-natural products, Amoy brings both clinical expertise and genuine artistry to every client. When she's not in the salon, you'll find her out on the trails, lost in a good book, or putting pen to paper. The PDC Residency is an extension of that vision — bringing an intentional, elevated loc experience to Playa del Carmen for a limited time.

Schedule a complimentary virtual consultation to discuss your hair goals and service needs.
Complete Your Intake Form
After booking your consultation, you will receive an email with a link to your client intake form. Please complete the form and submit 2–3 hair photos before your consultation appointment via the form or WhatsApp to 845-600-9444.
Loc Service Appointment
After your consultation, your loctician books your loc service appointment and sends a 50% deposit invoice. Your deposit goes toward the cost of your service.

Your spot is confirmed upon receipt of your deposit. The residency location will be provided to confirmed clients one month prior to the first appointment date. We can't wait to see you in Playa del Carmen!

Yes! We plan to continue residencies in Playa del Carmen on a quarterly basis. Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
Confirmed clients will be added to the Loc Artistry by AV PDC Residency WhatsApp group where updates will be shared. You can also check the website for the latest information on upcoming residencies.
If you'd like to continue your services with us at future residencies, you will be placed on a priority list and contacted directly when new dates are announced.
Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details.
The residency location will be provided to all confirmed clients in October, one month prior to the first appointment date.
Following your consultation, you will receive an invoice to pay your 50% deposit by credit or debit card via Square. Your appointment is confirmed upon receipt of payment. The remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment and can be paid by cash (USD or MXN), Zelle, or Venmo.
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before your appointment to receive a deposit refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior will result in forfeiture of your deposit. All cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted via WhatsApp to 845-600-9444.

A 15-minute grace period is extended for all appointments. Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late will be considered a no-show and their deposit will be forfeited.
