What hair types do you work with?

We work with all hair types, from straight and wavy hair to curly, kinky, and coily textures. Each client’s hair is unique, and our approach is tailored to support the health and integrity of your hair.

Do you specialize in microlocs?

Yes. The Loc Artistry by AV specializes in microloc installation, retightening, and maintenance, while also working with traditional locs and loc repair services.

How often should I schedule loc maintenance?

Maintenance frequency depends on the method used and the size of your locs.

Many clients schedule maintenance every 4–8 weeks for palm rolling or every 2–3 months for interlocking or crochet maintenance.

Can thinning locs be repaired?

In many cases, thinning locs can be strengthened through loc repair techniques, including crochet reinforcement or other repair methods depending on the condition of the loc.

Do you offer loc reattachment?

Yes. If a loc becomes detached or breaks, it may be possible to reattach the loc depending on the condition of the hair.
